Jamie is in the care of the Social Services in Dubai.
We understand that he has been placed into a children centre there.
Jamie is with the Dubai Social Services so that he does not have to witness his father being arrested on behalf of the French authorities and the subsequent pressure and trauma that will be put onto Jamie.
If you can spare a moment to share this post, like the Facebook page and sign the petition if you haven’t already. Jamie needs the power of the people to get the authorities to listen and act. He needs to get home, out of the social services children centre. He has a right to live a safe and secure life where he has loved being for the past two years.
The French authorities have deliberately denied Jamie his rights by telling him he could only be heard if he actually attended the court himself, in France. This is not correct. He did not have to be there to be heard. He can be heard by video link or through his lawyer. The judge has never spoken to him. His lawyer (appointed by the French court...) has not discussed anything with Jamie. They have deliberately done this. The judge did not respect the French civil code. This ensuing chaos and subsequent violation of Jamie's human rights as a child, is the result of the judge not following her own Country's laws.
The French are patently picking and choosing the bits of the law they want to suit them.
Jamie and his siblings are being denied their voice or any kind of justice.
This is not the law being seen to be done.
We are shocked and appalled that this so-called modern European country, is totally abusing the rights of this ten year old British/French boy.
For no reason, for two years now, Jamie's younger siblings have been denied any normal relationship with their father or Jamie. They are also unable to have normal or free relationships with 90% of their French family and all of their UK family. There is no one they can talk freely to.
Article 3 of the Human Rights Act states that "no one shall be subjected to torture or inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment". This horrific ordeal being forced upon this British/French boy, Jamie, over the past two years is a total violation of this fundamental right.
Jamie has said that does not want any other child to have to go through what he is having to go through.
Jamie's trauma and current precarious situation is entirely due to the arrogant, abusive and self interested actions of his mother and the authorities of France. He did not ask for any of this. He was asking to be heard and trying to find a safe place to be, and this is what is not being allowed to him.
Jamie has every right to a safe life where he wants to be. He 10 1/2 years old and his voice should be heard.
We thank you all for your support so far. It has truly meant so much to Jamie to know that he is not alone going through this trauma.
Please - post, share this with your family and friends to help Jamie get home to the safe life he needs.
